Bank of Ireland Grand Canal Square

South Docks in Dublin is home to the Libeskind-designed Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and a booming tech hub including Google’s European HQ, Facebook, Linkedin, Accenture and KPMG to name just a few. A wide range of customers visit the theatre and tech offices throughout the day and evening, bringing a huge number of potential Premier and start-up SME clients to Grand Canal Square where Bank of Ireland’s latest flagship branch is located.

The Bank of Ireland South Dock fit out project is situated in Units 1 & 2 on the ground floor of Grand Canal Square. The office building was constructed circa 7 years ago and is situated at the Grand Canal basin Dublin.

The open-front design, innovation hub and state-of-the-art technology are tailored to bring a progressive banking experience to the Grand Canal Square community. A double-height gateway wall dissects the branch into three key zones: The Premier Lounge and Tech Start-up workbench to the left, the teller-less branch to the right and the Innovation Hub containing an event amphitheatre in the centre.

This project is being referred to by BOI as their flag ship branch and it houses interview rooms, walk in banking & high tech internet banking. The branch has open frontage onto Grand Canal square & has a highly visible presence on the square adjacent to the Bord Gais Energy theatre. There is a high emphasis on technology and visual display with a number of large TV screen laid throughout the branch offering an over view of the products available from BOI.

BCL worked with a number of restrictions on this site that included delivery, access & noise restrictions.
