The supermarket area is of large span steel frame construction with external wall and composite roof cladding. The project also consists of the resurfacing of an existing car park and installation of new drainage. The 17 bed aparthotel area is a stone clad precast frame construction circular shape on plan with natural light projected down through the centre of the building by two large elliptical roof lights. During the excavation process the remains of a medieval Franciscan burial ground was uncovered. An archaeological dig uncovered 37 remains of 17 century monks.
