Lymington Avenue, London

Bennett were appointed as the Design and Build Contractor on the development of Wood Green for Sanctuary Housing Association. As well as providing affordable housing in North London, the Lymington Avenue project created a number of training and employment opportunities, with local labour used where possible.

The project, involved the creation of 66 energy efficient apartments in a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership properties.  Seven of the homes were designed for residents in wheelchairs.  There is also 350m2 of new retail units on the site.

Dilapidated buildings in the centre of Wood Green were demolished to make way for the much needed affordable housing for local residents.

The works utilised modern methods of construction with light-weight pre panelised metal frame building to allow for the spatial challenges on site.
