GMV 4 Energy Centre
Bennett were the Design & Build contractor of the New build energy centre at the Greenwich Millennium Village.
The works included in this contract comprise the design, erection and completion of the following works.
- Piling works including UXO survey works and concrete substructure
- Reinforced concrete substructure
- Steel frame.
- Generally, external walls are made of brick with the flue enclosure clad in stainless steel (Rimex) shingles. On the West and South elevations perforated powder coated aluminium panels are used for ventilation. On the West elevation there is an integrated light display behind perforated panels (a constellation star pattern has been designed that makes reference to the Greenwich Royal Observatory.
- Aluminium louvres, windows and external doors.
- Basic internal fit-out works.
- Biodiversity brown roofs built in accordance with the Environ Brown Roof strategy.
