Ormond Locke Apart Hotel
Bennett Construction are the design and build contractor on Ormond Locke Apart Hotel which is situated on the former Zanzibar Site along Ormond Quay in Dublin.
The development site is located at 34 -37 Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1 along the north banks of the River Liffey. The site has frontage onto Lower Ormond Quay to the South and to Strand Street Great to the Northern side and has been semi derelict for a period of time.
This is a design and build contract for the construction of a turnkey hotel for SACO. The hotel comprises of 160 bedrooms over seven floors. The ground floor consists of main entrance, lobby, bar and restaurant space and Bedrooms.
The construction of the building is reinforced concrete flat slabs and columns with the façade consisting of curtain walling, windows, brickwork and render insulation.
Each room consists of a self-contained bathroom, kitchen, living area and bedroom zone. The mechanical installation consists mainly of A/C split unit to each room while the electrical installation is mainly feature lighting.
