The project involved the design build of the Dundalk Student Accommodation
The project involved the design build of the Dundalk Student Accommodation, which consisted of 40 5 bedroom apartments with 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen per apartment. There are also 4 disabled friendly apartments, which also have an extra ensuite. The accommodation also includes an apartment for the building manager and two common areas for the students. The main frame of the building is in situ concrete walls with precast slabs and screeds. The balconies for the apartments were bolted on afterwards. The external finish is a sto system which involves the use of the 100mm insulation fixed to the concrete walls and rendered. The roof was a build up on screed poured to fall insulation and torch on felt.
