The works involved the construction of a new biotechnology research building on the DCU Campus. The building has over 3,000m2 of gross internal area consisting of offices, laboratories (including over 1,000m of cleanrooms) and ancillary areas including gas bottle compound for medical gases. The cleanroom suites on the second floor have a specialist walk on ceiling with access to the roof level plantroom. The building is very highly serviced with intense coordination required to ensure that the installation of services ran smoothly. Client equipment installation was a key feature of the programming of the building works.
