Bennett were proud to deliver the full refurbishment of Penneys’ flagship O’Connell Street store, which was unveiled to the public yesterday. As main contractor, we managed the upgrade over a 16-week period while the store remained open throughout.

Our team worked nights to carry out the works with minimal disruption. The project included complete internal upgrades – new lighting, wider walkways, updated signage, and new finishes across floors, walls and fixtures.

We also delivered layout changes to improve the customer experience, including a revamped Nails studio, 16 new self-checkouts, a larger Home department and relocated fitting rooms.

The upgraded 52,400 sq. ft. store now offers a more open and modern space for customers. We’re pleased to have supported Penneys in improving one of the busiest retail locations in Dublin city centre. This project was part of their wider commitment to their Irish store network, and we’re proud to have played a key role.

Well done to everyone involved with delivering this project.
