Topping out at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland

On May 23rd, we were delighted to celebrate a major milestone with our client Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - the topping out of the new education and research building at 118 St Stephen’s Green.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Mr Patrick O’Donovan TD.

This development comprises of the construction of a 13,000m2,  6 Storey building above ground and 2 storey below ground.  The new facilities will enrich the student experience at RCSI and provide vital infrastructure for patient-centered health sciences research and innovation. The new building includes a physical link to RCSI’s award-winning academic building at 26 York Street (previously completed by Bennett), through an interconnecting bridge.

The project construction and design team include Bennett (Construction) Ltd,  Henry J Lyons Architects, Linesight Quantity Surveyors, OCSC Structural Engineers and Axis Eng Mechanical & Electrical Consultants.
