Travelodge London Oval Cricket Ground
The redevelopment of the Ovalhouse theatre to deliver a 95-bedroom Travelodge Hotel at London Oval Cricket Ground.
The project included the design and construction of a new part five, part six-storey hotel building over basement comprising 95 bedrooms, ancillary bar and restaurant and associated landscaping, servicing, on-site parking and new boundary treatment.
The façade, comprised a mixture of stone, brick and aluminium cladding and was designed to reflect and identify as an Oval Cricket Ground building. A Cornish granite plinth is incorporated in acknowledgement of our client’s link with the Duchy of Cornwall.
The project was designed to BREEAM excellent.
The development sits next to the White House, a listed building owned by our client which was the birth place of Field Marshal Montgomery.
